Review: Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette

Hi loves! I'm late to the party as usual, but here is my review on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette (€ 51.50). I have been testing it out over a month before I make my mind up.

The palette is in shape of alien head and is hot pink with eyes. He's products always have the best and uniquest packaging. Inside the palette there is a mirror and 18 eyeshadows: 7 metallic and 11 matte.

I love this cool tone palette. I love the selection of eyeshadows and there is a nice selection of mattes and metallic shades. The formula is super smooth and silky to the touch. These blend beautifully, even though few of the shades do swatch bit patchy. I didn't get any fall out when I used these eyeshadows. I love the eyeshadows are true to color (what you see is what you get).

Down below you can see all the eyeshadows swatched and little description of the shadows and how these have worked for me.

  • Pluto - is a metallic white with rose gold sheen to it. It looks stunning in the inner corner of the eye as a highlighter.
  • Titan - is a matte cream shade, but too dark for me to use as brow bone highlighter.
  • Alien - is a bright metallic green. I haven't used it a lot, but I need to. Its so unique shadow.
  • Interstellar - is a metallic pale gold. It looks so pretty all over the lid!
  • Abduction - is a matte yellow green. Its so beautiful shade and works best applied on top of white base. It comes through best that way.
  • UFO - is a metallic golden green. Its super gorgeous and I have been using it as the lid color.
  • Gravitea - is a matte brown with hint of warmth to it. Its perfect to use in crease.
  • Martian Soil - is a matte darker mustard yellow.

  • Flying Saucer - is a matte green, which swatched really patchy. I was worried when I first used it its going to be horrible, but I worked with light layers and builded it up and I didn't get any patchiness.
  • Phone Home - is a matte dusty rose. I love using it in the crease.
  • Moon Rock - is a metallic golden green. Its super beautiful and I used it in demo.
  • X-Files - is a cool tone gray brown. I haven't used it too much.
  • Gost OG - is a matte deep gray.
  • Area 51 - is a matte deep purple. It stained my eyes and its not as soft as other eyeshadows.
  • Space Cowboy - is a metallic deep coper brown. Perfect to use for smoky eye.
  • Probe - is a metallic seep green duo-chrome with reddish brown undertones.
  • Tall Gray - is a matte gray.
  • Black Home - is a matte black.

Now lets talk about the staying power. If you have read my blog you know I use eyeshadow primer under every look I do and thats how I have been testing out these eyeshadows. These didn't crease on me through out the day and these don't fade either. My eye look stays the same through out the day. I'm so happy with the quality of the eye shadows. Jeffree Star always delivers with the eyeshadows. I still need to try the liquid lipsticks. I have hears some amazing things about them.

Down below you can see the demo part of this review and I did palette bingo. I love how fun it is and you never know what comes out. Hope you enjoy it :)

I'm super happy I picked this palette up. The shadows are amazing and its so different color selection. I don't own many cool tone palettes, so its perfect. If you are in Netherlands you can still pick it up here.

Do you have this palette?

Review: Artdeco Glow Bronzer

Hi loves! Today's review is on gorgeous Artdeco Glow Bronzer (9g, 34.00 euros) and its limited edition.

The bronzer comes in a gorgeous sleek compact and I can take the pan out and use the compact in the future with any other Artdeco round refills, which I think is awesome. It will be cheaper and also better for the environment. Inside the compact there is also nice size mirror.

The bronzer looks so stunning and when first I got it it had a gold spray over, which looked so gorgeous. You can see the picture below (on the left). It did go away after first use and I was left with stunning glowy bronzer. Its perfect for that bronzed summer look.

The bronzer contains 2 different shades and I like to mix these together and apply with light hand. This bronzer at the moment is bit too dark and orange, but I do like it mimics the look of natural tan. So I think on summer I can use heavier hand with it, but for now I use light hand. I enjoy the glow it gives to me. It brings warmth and light into my otherwise matte complexion. I have oily skin and I need to powder everything down.

I could also use it also as blush, if I concentrate it more on the cheeks and use heavier hand. On summer it would look really pretty.

Overall I do like it and I can make it work for me. I would prefer it to be lighter. And to be honest I got it because it looks so pretty :) It still available on Bol.com and you can find it here.

Have you bought makeup because it looks gorgeous?

Review: Mulac Slay The Game Full Coverage Stick Foundation | 02 Marlene 2Y

Hi loves! I have been trying out Mulac Slay The Game Full Coverage Stick Foundation and I have it in shade 02 Marlene 2Y (9g, € 19.90).

This foundation comes in a black tube packaging and the formula of it is with 100% natural origins ingredients. It gives full coverage and feels light weight on skin. The shade 02 Marlene 2Y is perfect shade form me. Its ivory with yellow undertones and matches me so well. On the swatch it looks like its going to be too light, but its not. All together there is 10 shade available and there is also deeper shades available.

I like to pick it up with a brush and then buff it into the skin. It gives me full coverage with out feeling heavy. It blends into the skin easily and doesn't look unnatural, which some full coverage foundation can do. I know I'm going to have beautiful skin day with this foundation without worrying, if I get caky through out the day.

Lets talk about the staying power. It does stay on all day, but I do get bit oily in the t-zone, which happens with all the foundations I have tried so far. So I don't keep it against it. I don't loose coverage, so I just powder my nose through out the day and I'm good to go.

Down below you can see the full ingredient list. This foundation doesn't contain any parabens, silicons and is gluten and cruelty free.

IngredientsCAPRYLIC / CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, LAURYL OLIVATE, HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL DIMER DILINOLEATE, SILICA, EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX (CANDELILLA WAX), ZEA MAYS (CORN) STARCH (ZEA MAYS STARCH), RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL (RICINUS COMMUNIS SEED OIL), BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER) (BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER), TOCOPHEROL, FRAGRANCE (PARFUM), HYALURONIC ACID, LIMONENE. MAY CONTAIN (+/-): TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), IRON OXIDES (CI 77491), IRON OXIDES (CI 77492), IRON OXIDES (CI 77499), MANGANESE VIOLET (CI 77742), ULTRAMARINES (CI 77007).

Down below you you can see the demo part of this video. It shows how it looks on skin and how flawless it makes it look.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I have grown to love this foundation and I love how it makes my skin look. Its a beautiful product and you can see all the shades here.

Which is your favorite stick foundation?

Review: Milani Cosmetics Strobelight Instant Glow Powder | 06 Moon Glow

Hi loves! I have been loving Milani Cosmetics Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in shade 06 Moon Glow (8.5g). It's available in 7 shades. There is a flattering shade for every complexion.

The highlighter comes in a clear compact and has the brand name on the lid. The packaging is very sleek, which makes it perfect for traveling. The formula is vegan and they are cruelty free brand, which I like.

This highlighter contains light reflective pearls, which give the highlighter radiant finish. It gives me beautiful glow and I always notice it when I wear it and take pictures. I find it's not in your face kinda highlighter, but more wearable. It still gives me serious glow. I have been using it on my cheek bones, brow bone, inner corner of the eye and on cupid's bow.
On the left you can see this gorgeous highlighter swatched. The shade 06 Moon Glow is the perfect highlighting shade for my pale skin tone and I really love how it gives me this beautiful glow and it has been my daily highlighter. Down below you can find the full list of ingredients.

IngredientsMica (CI 77019), Magnesium Stearate, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Silica, Talc, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dehydroacetic Acid. +/- May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850).

Review: BYS Cosmetics Unicorn Eyeshadow Palette

Hi loves! Today's review is on gorgeous palette from BYS Cosmetics and its their Unicorn Palette.

The packaging is tin and has a rainbow and the unicorn on it, super cute. Its sleek palette and closes securely. It's perfect to take with me for travel. Inside there is mirror and 12 eyeshadows: 5 matte and 7 shimmery eyeshadows.

The shadows are pigmented and beautiful! These are easy to work with and blend out like a dream. Some of the matte shadows are bit powdery, but the color pay off is good, so it doesn't bother me too much. I do get fall out because of it, so I always do my eyes before my face, so its easy to clean up.

The staying power is great. I always use eyeshadow primer under my every look to make it last longer. It did't experience any fading or creasing through out the day.

  • Silver Moon - is a metallic silver. It applies best with wet brush on sticky base.
  • Mystic - is a matte peachy nude shade.
  • Candy Tail - is a matte warm tone brown. Great to use in the crease.
  • Twinkle - is a shimmery light peachy shade. It's so beautiful all over the lid.
  • Magical - is with satin finish. It's fuchsia pink.
  • Bubbles - is a matte lilac shade, so pretty. It works best when applied on white base.
  • Sky - is a metallic pastel blue.
  • Fantasy - is a metallic pastel green.
  • QT - is a matte cool tone greyish brown.
  • Mane - is a matte brown. Perfect to use in the crease.
  • Wings - is a shimmery bronze shade.
  • Golden Horn - is a metallic golden bronze shade.

I love this palette. It contains light shades, which are perfect for spring and summer. Its so magical like unicorns :D So the name fits well. I like I can create also everyday makeup looks with it, not just very whimsical spring looks.  I'm so impressed with the quality considering its below 13 euros and you can find it here. I find with BYS there is so many amazing products and most have been hits at least for me :)

Down below you can see the demo part of this review. I created very light lilac purple look. I hope you guys like it.

Review: Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer | 01 Light

Hi loves! Today there is no video, but it will come tomorrow. I just didn't have time to film and edit the video. So instead I'm going to talk about Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer in shade 01 Light (6.8ml). I picked it up from Kruidvat. Its a local drugstore here in the Netherlands.

This concealer comes in a clear tube and has a sponge tip applicator and I do need to twist up the product to get it out.

The lightest shade I got 01 Light is bit too dark for my skin tone. I was hoping it would at least match me, but its too dark. So I ended up using it under my foundation and that way it seems to work for me.

The applicator feels soft and makes it easy to apply and I like the concealer itself. It feels light weight on skin and it doesn't dry out my under eye area. This is my biggest issue, concealers drying it out.

It gives me medium coverage. I find my Nabla concealer (review) is way more full overage. I do need to mix it with something else, but I don't mind as long as it covers everything up. With this Maybelline concealer is the issue with the applicator, which makes mixing it with something else impossible. I'll use it up under my foundation, but I wouldn't repurchase it, even though it feels nice on skin. I'm bit surprised how much good things I have heard about it. I didn't think it lived up to it though.

Have you tried this cult classic? Do you like it?

Review: Affect Cosmetics Single Eyeshadows #2

Hi loves! I have added more Affect Cosmetics eyeshadows in my collection. If you don't know the brand, its Polish makeup brand and they make more professional makeup for artists and its so affordable. You can check out the previous post here. Let's take a look the new shades I have from them.

Their eyeshadow refills are 5 euros and the ones in compact are 6 euros. These are pigmented shadows, which you can see for yourself on the pictures above. These blend out easily and with a primer these last well on the lid. I have rediscovered the brand and I'm so happy to share with you the new addition to my collection.

I wish the eyeshadows would have names, but they have numbers, so above you can see the first four eyeshadows I added to my collection. These are all matte eyeshadows and very blendable and the yellow pops even more when its applies on white base.
  • M-1019 - is a darker matte coral shade and I'll be using it in today's demo.
  • M-1032 - is a matte neon coral and I'll be using it also in today's demo, which you can find down below.
  • M-1098 - is a matte neon yellow. It works best on white base and I'll be using it today's look as well. It is bit more powdery though, but I still can make it work.
  • M-1090 - is also matte and the shade is between yellow and green.

  • M-1049 - is another shadow I'll be using today's demo. It's a matte light green with hint of yellow to it.
  • M-1074 - is a deep matte forest green and another eyeshadow in today's demo. I wanted to use as much of shadows as possible.
  • Y-1070 - is a metallic duo chrome. It's a brownish red shade with green reflects.
  • Y-1069 - is metallic deep brown bronze eyeshadow.

  • Y-1066 - is a metallic brownish copper shade.
  • Y-1068 - is a metallic golden shade, very classic.
  • Y-1006 - is a metallic blue and it swatches lighter then it looks in the pan.
  • Y-1055 - is a metallic lilac shade, so beautiful and magical shade.

  • Y-1063 - is a metallic peachy shade. Perfect for summer!
  • Y-1064 - is a metallic light pale pink and I used it in today's demo video as my inner corner of the eye highlighting shade.
  • Y-1067 - is a metallic plum shade, very pretty.
  • Y-1062 - is a metallic darker fuchsia shade.
  • Y-1035 - is a metallic darker lilac shade. Super pretty!
  • Y-1065 - is a metallic reddish brown shade peachy sheen to it.

As you can see I'm in love with these shadows. The pay off is amazing and its easy to blend these out. These last on me all day with out creasing or fading! These are amazing for the price point. You cans see how these shadows apply on the lid in the demo video, which you find down below.

If you are interested checking out the brand, you can find it here. Its sold on Estonian online store, but you can translated with google and they do deliver in the EU.

My Experience with Art of Colors

Hi loves! Today's post is little bit different as I'm sharing my experience with Art of Colors. Its makeup school in Netherlands and they have  2 locations one in Amsterdam and another in Hoorn.

Art of Colors was founded 2005 by Judith and Jos. They teamed up with educators and photographers to give their students the experience being working makeup artist.

I started my journey in Art of Colors in September and my teacher is Flavio Miguel and he is amazing makeup artist. You can check he's instagram out here to see his work.

The lessons are once a week in the evenings and last 3 hours. I always need to bring my model, which can be hard at times. The school does have model bank where we can contact with models, but so far I personally haven't had much luck with it. Once a model was late and it was my first photoshoot and I ended up looking a model on the street, which was not fun experience to be honest, but at least I passed my exam. And other time a model said she will come, but she didn't come in the end and didn't even let me know she is not coming. I mostly ask my friends to come and they have been so awesome and supportive. But I know my class mates have had good luck with the model bank and have had beautiful models.

Let's talk about the kit. Art of Colors works with different brand to provide amazing makeup kits for the students. When I started there was only MAC and I really do like my kit. It has everything I need to start out and it was easy for me to add the products I needed to it, like more colorful eyeshadow palette. Now days you can also choose a makeup kit from Nars, Inglot and also MAC Cosmetics.

One of the things I like most about Art of Colors is the internships they gives us. I have been so far to 2 internships: H&M Amfi fashion show and other was also Amfi fashion show. Both where amazing experiences and you can feel and see how it works backstage.

When I started they just vamped up their program and its more modern and one of my favorite lessons was the color theory and I first was thinking we are going to play with color. We did play with the primary colors to create a matching foundation color for our models. This was so unique experience and we ended up doing full face with just these colors. It was so creative experience and makes you think outside of the box.

I also love the special events I have had the chance to go, because of Art of Colors. We had student lab in MAC Cosmetics, which was supper fun and we got to know all the MAC products and in the end we had discount to buy products we needed for our kit. There was also 2 events in the school MAC Cosmetics Trend Event and you can see a video about it here. Then there was the Nars Holiday Masterclass and you can see little video on it here. Both events where amazing! There is one more event coming up with the school, if you guys want I can make a separate post about it. Let me know, if you are interested in the comments section.

Art of colors also provides hair styling lessons, which I think I might take. I'm not that much into hair, but its a nice skill to have. I always have been bit jealous of people who can create amazing hair styles.

I think its a great school to start your makeup artist career and you can get the support you need. I think it's so important for a school to provide you with work experience and they do it. I'm happy with the program, my teacher and the extra perks coming with the course I'm taking. If you are based in Netherlands and are interested taking a closer look of the school you can find all the info about it here. They also provide master classes for hair and makeup. Like I mentioned you can find all the info about the lessons on their webpage. They also do open days, which are great to see the location and ask any questions you might have.

If you have any questions to me, let me know in the comment section down below and I'll see you in my nest post!

Thank you for reading! xo's
