Review: Urban Decay Shadow Box

Hi beauties! Today I'm sharing my thoughts on my first Urban Decay palette :) It took me forever to pick something up and I ended up getting Urban Decay Shadow Box palette (12 x 0.01 oz, 40.20 EUR), which is just gorgeous <3

The packaging of this Urban Decay palette is so pertty. I love the flower petal design it has. The packaging is cardboard, which I'm not a fan and its not as sleek as I would like it to be.

Inside you find 12 beautiful eye shadows and a nice size mirror. 11 of the shadows are shimmery, you do get one matte shade. I would have like to see more matte shades in this palette, but that's just my personal preference.

All the shadows are buttery to the touch and so easy to work with. Also the pigmentation is out of this world. The selection of the colors in this palette is amazing. I have made deep smokey looks with it and light day time looks. This is one thing I really like about the palette. Also the staying on power is good. No creasing and the colors stay vivid all day :)

Top Row

  • Sin - is a light shimmery pink eye shadow. Perfect to highlight the inner corner of the eye
  • Indo - is a shimmery deep emerald green shadow
  • Bordello - is a darker pink shimmery shade, which looks absolutely stunning all over the lid
  • Tornado - is deep shimmery purple shade. Perfect to darken up the outer V
  • Smog - is a dark bronze shade, one of my favorites from the palette
  • Blackout - is a matte black shadow, so pigmented

Bottom row

  • Flash - is the most gorgeous shadow in the palette. Its a lighter purple shade with the most amazing sheen to it. it looks just beautiful all over the lid
  • Mushroom - looks at first glance like shimmery silver shade, but there is hint of brown in it. Very unique shade
  • Lost - is the deepest shimmery bronze in the palette and one of the most used shadow in the palette. I like my bronze shades :)
  • Freelove - is the reason I picked this palette up. Its peachy shimmery shade, which looks so pretty this time of the year
  • Moonshadow - is a deep shimmery blue shade, so bright
  • Baked Cowboy - is a classic shimmery gold shade

I have been using it non stop the past 2 weeks. I love everything about these shadows and its even better that the formula of these is without parabens. Its pigmented and bright and has everything you need to create a gorgeous eye look ;)

Have you used this palette before?

Thanks for reading! xo's

  13. You know, I haven't jumped on the UD eyeshadow bandwagon either. I don't own any of their shadows. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. At one point I contemplated the Naked Vault, which is like a down payment on a car. Lol. Still don't know which palette I'd start with but this one is beautiful for sure!
