Review: Colourpop My Little Pony Shadow Palette

Hi loves! I'm excited to share my thoughts on Colourpop My Little Pony Shadow Palette (12x0.85g, $16.00) and from the same collection Ultra Matte Lip in shade Pink Wheel (3.2g, $6.00).

The packaging of the collection is so cute, specially the palette. It comes in a cardboard packaging and closes magnetically. The eyeshadow palette contains 12 eyeshadows from mattes to metallics and everything in between. The formula of all the shadows feel buttery to the touch and I love how unique some of the shadows look. I love the looks I got with this palette, the shadow applied very well and everything blended out effortlessly.

The shadows lasted on me all day and I didn't experience any creasing or fading through out the day, which impressed me considering how affordable the palette is. I always use primer under all my eye looks and I don't have oily lids.

When I first swatched the shadows, they didn't impress me much till I used them on my eyes. You can see what I mean when you check out the swatches down below. I didn't use any primer under the swatches, so you can really is how these shadows swatch. First row is swatched on the picture left and the second row is on the right.

  • Butterscotch - is a white with slight pinkish violet sheen to it. Its unique shadow, but I have hardly use it. It looks on my skin tone more gray.
  • Blossom - is metallic peach shadow with pink and golden duochrome finish.
  • Starshine - is metallic golden orange shade.
  • Bluebell - is with satin finish golden ivory shade.

  • Applejack - is dusty red violet shade with matte finish.
  • Skydancer - is icy lavender shade with metallic finish.
  • Minty - is one of the shades which didn't swatch the best, but on eyes it applies evenly and I haven't had any issues. Its cool tone fuchsia with matte finish.
  • Flutterbye - is also not swatching the best, but its one my favorites from the palette. Its pastel peach with matte finish.
  • Twilight - deep blackened violet with satin finish. I have been using it to darken up the other V and its so pigmented and unique shade.
  • Firefly - silvery baby blue with metallic finish. Its gorgeous and so pigmented shadow.
  • Snuzzle - is icy white with opalescent blue duochrome with metallic finish. Its one of my favorite shadows from the palette and again its so unique and I don't own anything like this.
  • Princess Sparkle - is deeper turquoise shade with metallic finish.

I didn't think in the beginning I'll like the palette as much as I do now. I love when beauty products surprise me like that. The more I used this fun palette the more like it and I enjoy the different finishes in it and also there warm and cool tone shadows. It contains something for everyone.

Now lets take a look of the liquid lipstick I got from this collection. It comes in a same kind of clear tube and has the same applicator then their other liquid lipsticks. I love the metallic violet cap it has, so cute.

The shade Pin Wheel is a cool tone fuchsia, which is bright and fun color. I love wearing it and I feel the formula of it is bit different. Its more liquid and glides on better. Its still drying, because its long lasting. It did last on me all day with minimum fading, which was nice surprise.

I'm overall impressed with my new goodies from them. Everything worked well and I got the results I want. They have at the time still sale going on and I'm so tempted getting something from them :) maybe more super shock shadows :P Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you have or will pick up anything from the sale.

Down below you can see a GRWM video using this palette:

Thank you for reading! xo's

  4. Yay! You reviewed one of my favorite brands. I saw this palette and wondered how well it would perform so thank you for the thorough review. My favorite product from them is their matte and ultra matte range. I own too many to count and I love that bright pink you are wearing.
