Review: Colourpop BFF Créme Gel Liners & Créme Gel Colours

Hi loves, today I have for you guys something fun and colorful from Colourpop. I picked some time ago up 2 of their BFF Créme Gel Liners in shade Cry Babay, Prance (0.2g, $5.50)  and 3 Créme Gel Colours in shade Cry Babay, Prance and Zulu (3g, $6.50). The colors are more pastel and are great way to add pop of color to any eye look. As you can see the 2 liners are the same shade as the gel colours. I like to have both in different formulas for different uses.

The BFF Créme Gel Liners are twist up, so I don't have to sharpen anything. I also like the packaging is the same color as the product inside. It makes finding my liner easier and also it looks fun, so pleasing to the eye. Both liners have matte finish and are creamy. These glide on like a dream, which we all want from out liners. To be noted these can brake, if you put too much pressure on it. I like to twist up little bit of product, that way it doesn't break. These are also waterproof.

On the picture below (on the right) you can see both shades swatched. These do look pigmented, but when I apply these on the water liner these are not as pigmented. The color doesn't show up as alive and bright. Around the eye area these do show up true to color. Just on the waterline these look muted.

  • Prance - is a bright periwinkle blue with matte finish.
  • Cry Baby - is a cool tone pastel lavender with matte finish.

The BFF Créme Gel Liners lasted well on the eye as a liner. They did want to disappear on the water line and I think its because they pearly show up to begin with. Overall I do like these fun colors. I like these didn't irritate my eyes and I can use these as regular liners, which last all day.

Now let's talk about the Créme Gel Colours. These come in glass jars and I love the caps are different color, depending what color is inside. It makes finding the color easier and it looks so pretty in my liner drawer. These have long wear formula and glide on the lid easily. These do not tug the skin and are super pigmented. I have been using these also on the lower waterline and these show up true to color.

  • Cry Baby - is a cool tone lavender with matte finish. I love wearing it as winged out liner. It looks so romantic.
  • Zulu - is a vivd pastel sea foam green with matte finish. I love this shade of green.
  • Prance - is a periwinkle blue with matte finish. I was my favorite shade to wear in summer as a liner.

I think these last better on the water liner, which makes me like these more. Also I didn't experience any irritation when I wore these around the eye.

As you can see I'm happy with both the Gel Liners and their Gel Colours. Both are good, but I like the Gel Colours bit more, because they show up on the waterline and I can use these also as a base, so easy to blend out. It doesn't mean the others do't blend out well. These are easier to apply on the lid.

If you like colorful or traditional eyeliner shades Colourpop has you covered and at the moment they have 25% off. You can check their liners out here.

Do you like bright eyeliners?

Thank you for reading! xo's

  2. I love a twist up product that you don't have to sharpen! These colours are super pretty too, those swatches are great. I may try the black one, as I don't think I'm brave enough for pastels just yet xx

  5. I love the colors, but I don´t think I would ever wear them. I tend to stick to traditional black, maybe some brown, that´s it.
